When candidates speak, you will hear one of three things. They will tell you what they plan on doing if they also control Congress or the legislature. Although they never mention the second part. Sometimes, they will tell you their wish list, whether or not it is feasible or realistic. Lastly, they will lie and say what you want to hear.

What should you do? ignore everything that comes out of their mouths.

Then how do I choose? I always try to pick the smartest one with intelligence and the ability to analyze problems. If you can't determine who the smartest one is, select the one you would invite to your home for coffee or a beer.

Also, consider who would I want to be a role model for my children and grandchildren.
